This program is open to the public. It is sponsored by the Handlan Chapter of The Brooks Bird Club.
I have spent much of my life outdoors surrounded by multitudes of birds and other wild creatures. I have hiked every ridge and valley I could find, taken many thousands of photos for some of the world’s most prestigious magazines, handled tens of thousands of birds, been surrounded by lightning and drenched from head to toe in torrential downpours and loved every minute of it. Through all of this, many unusual things happened…often with birds. Although I became well known among photo editors for my work with insects, spiders and other invertebrates, birds were always my favorite.
In this program I will share some of my favorite stories from a lifetime of pursuing birds. I will speak about some of the highlights of my Eastern Screech-owl work.
I will share stories from my new book, Rainbows, Bluebirds and Buffleheads, which relates many of my favorite tales from a lifetime of wonderful bird experiences … all are informative, some are funny and some are almost unbelievable.
Join me as I share with the Brooks Bird Club some of the magic of birds.
